Cute movie overall but honestly I don’t think I’d rent it again.

I saw it twice in the cinema. Totally worth it. I’m also excited for the sequel in 2015 yay!

I saw this movie three times and I loved it each time, for what it lacked in story it made up for fantastic animation and characterisation.

Still, while undoubtedly the best Halloween-appropriate animated movie this year is DEFINITELY “ParaNorman” (which is also my favourite animated movie of the year and close to being my favourite movie of the year overall even), “Hotel Transylvania” is charming and funny enough to make up for the lack of story it has and is definitely a fun ride IMHO.

Also, I’m really sorry but “Frankenweenie” was overrated. Not a bad film neither…but could of been SO much better. >.<

“ParaNorman” is a classic. Though with that said, I definitely enjoyed “Hotel Transylvania” and even felt like seeing it again as of late (if only I had the time, though). I find it annoying people are exclusively labelling this movie as a “Adam Sandler movie” though because while Adam Sandler is undeniably in it and he’s also the co-producer, its more Sony Pictures Animation and Genndy Tarakovsky’s baby here, Adam Sandler just gets top billing and co-producer benefits but that’s it.

This movie was pretty…meh. It’s fun to watch, if you’re a kid, but as an adult, once is enough. It’s cute…but that’s it. It’s not exciting, it’s funny for a while, but not one of those animated films I’ll be watching for years to come.

First off, I haven’t seen many Sony Animation films because I never found interest in them but Hotel Transylvania had a different vibe and a different feel to it. I greatly enjoyed the movie. From a fans point of view, funny, enjoyable and the story was well written. As someone who wants to become an animator. The animation was smooth and fluid and the expressions were very well done. The characters are original and fun. Thanks Sony for a great animation film! <3

  22. Chris Ullrich says:

I absolutely loved this film. One of Sandler’s funniest films.

  23. alexander3333333 says:

This is where you really see how most Hollywood animated films work, which is sad because it usually starts out with a great idea…which is then brought to life by fantastic comedy writers, animated by incredible artists…and then the executive producers come along and cast it horribly. :( The voices simply didn’t fit the look/personality of these characters. Sadly, because of that this film gets a few points knocked off from me…other than that…it was enjoyable.
